Guitar virtuoso Erja Lyytinen has been delighting concert audiences with her festive Blue Christmas tour since 2017! Lyytinen is one of the leading blues-rock guitarists operating on the international market, and she has received numerous awards in various categories over the years. In 2022, Lyytinen made history as the first Finnish artist ever nominated for Canada’s Maple Blues Awards. In November 2024, she was honoured with the Angel of Rock award by the British HRH Festival, granted for significant contributions to rock, metal, or blues music.
Throughout her career, Lyytinen has performed alongside some of the world’s top guitarists, including Carlos Santana, Sonny Landreth, Jennifer Batten, and Joe Bonamassa. Her latest album Smell the Roses was released in spring 2025. The album received excellent reviews in international publications and reached sixth place on the UK IBBA radio chart in April 2025. Lyytinen also showcased her vocal talent on Masked Singer, performing as the Skeleton. This year’s Blue Christmas concert will once again feature a selection of Lyytinen’s own work, atmospheric blue-toned melodies, and festive rock pieces accompanied by fantastic guest artists!
Hanna Pakarinen is known as the very first — and undoubtedly most iconic — winner of Idols Finland. Her crowning was watched on TV by an incredible 1.6 million viewers. She reached even larger audiences in 2007 when the powerful-voiced artist represented Finland at the Eurovision Song Contest — hosted that year in her home country at Helsinki’s Hartwall Arena. Throughout her career, Hanna Pakarinen has exuded a deep-burning passion for music. She is a trailblazer whose example has greatly influenced many rising stars of the new generation. Her cross-generational acclaim has only grown since she ended her eight-year release break in autumn 2021. Performing is the most important part of being an artist for Pakarinen, and she has described the stage as one of the best places in the world. Pakarinen delighted Blue Christmas audiences already on the 2024 tour, bringing her radiant presence to the festive concert in Rovaniemi.
Kärtsy Hatakka is best known as the vocalist and driving force behind Waltari, a band active since the mid-1980s. Blending metal, art music, folk, and funk, Waltari paved the way for Finnish metal bands’ success across Europe, performing at major festivals such as Roskilde and Wacken. In recent years, Kärtsy has also become widely known as an impressive solo performer who crosses genre boundaries with remarkable ease. His solo work ranges from pop to rock, and he brings his unique signature sound even to the cover songs he performs. In spring 2025, Kärtsy astonished Finnish TV audiences with his skill and authentic rock-star presence on the show Tähdet, Tähdet. This year, Kärtsy will once again captivate Blue Christmas concertgoers with his one-of-a-kind stage charisma and distinctive voice!
